MMX MRI Score
Measure Trust. Trade with Confidence.
MRI is designed to help buyers and sellers understand the credibility, verification, trading behaviour and reputation of businesses participating in the Makhana marketplace.
Trust should be based on evidence.
Makhana trading involves farmers, aggregators, traders, processors, exporters and buyers operating across different locations. MMX is designed to make trust more measurable, transparent and evidence-based.
MRI is not intended to replace your judgement. It is designed to give you better information before you make a trading decision.
MRI is more than a verification badge
Evidence
Business information, documents and certifications can provide evidence about a participant's business identity and credentials.
Verification
Verification is specific. MMX can distinguish between information submitted by a business and information that has actually been verified.
Reputation
Actual marketplace behaviour, accepted MMX deals and counterparty ratings can contribute to a business's reputation over time.
We don't want a vague "Verified" label.
A generic verification badge can create a false sense of security. MMX is designed to show users what has actually been verified.
Contact verification, document verification, physical verification and trading reputation are different things. They should not be presented as if they are the same.

Two different MRI inputs
Adding a credential and verifying that credential are separate events in the MMX trust model.
Addition / Certification Points
Evidence submitted by the business
When a relevant document or certification is added, it can contribute to the appropriate MRI addition component, subject to the applicable scoring cap.
Example: APEDA
Addition points can be eligible according to the applicable MRI rules and cap.
Verification Points
Independent MMX verification
Verification points are associated with evidence that has actually been verified through the applicable MMX verification process.
APEDA after MMX verification
Verification points can then become eligible under the applicable MRI rules.
How the 1,000-Point MRI Score Is Calculated
MMX MRI is calculated on a 1,000-point scale. Internally, the score represents a percentage: 82% = 820 MRI Points. The score combines business evidence, verification, marketplace behaviour, transaction reliability, counterparty reputation and exchange conduct.

CATEGORY 02
Credentials & Certifications
Certifications contribute according to their applicability and the frozen MMX scoring rules. A certification does not automatically mean that the Business is suitable for every type of trade.
Applicability matters.
Not every Business needs every certification. Export credentials such as IEC/APEDA, food certifications, quality certifications and voluntary certifications are considered according to the Business's actual activities and applicable requirements.
Two Different MRI Inputs: Evidence & Verification
MMX distinguishes between adding a document/certification and independently verifying that document or certification. They are separate MRI inputs.
ADDITION / CERTIFICATION INPUT
Evidence Added
Eligible evidence can contribute to the applicable certification/evidence component subject to its category cap and applicability.
VERIFICATION INPUT
Evidence Verified
Verification-related MRI points become eligible only when MMX completes the applicable verification process.
Example: New APEDA Certificate
📄 APEDA certificate uploaded
🟡 Verification status: UNDER REVIEW
• Verification points: 0 until verified
• Applicable certification/evidence points: eligible according to the applicable Category 2 rules and cap
Once MMX verifies the evidence, the applicable verification component can contribute according to the frozen MRI rules.
CATEGORY 03
Business & Facility Verification
Independent verification of the business, its premises, supporting documents and key business contact and identity signals.
Verification inputs matter independently
These points are earned through applicable verification evidence. Completing one verification does not automatically award points for another.

CATEGORY 04
Business & MMX Experience
Experience is measured through legitimate business age and the length and continuity of the Business's presence on MMX.
Business Age
Established businesses can accumulate more experience points over time, subject to the Category 4 cap.
MMX Age
Continued legitimate participation on MMX contributes progressively to experience.
CATEGORY 05
Marketplace Activity & Liquidity
MMX rewards meaningful marketplace participation rather than simply creating an account.
Active Market Presence
Meaningful active listings and participation.
Listing Freshness
Current and regularly maintained marketplace presence.
Lifecycle Discipline
Listings are properly maintained, expired or closed.
Participation Consistency
Sustained participation over time.
Buy / Sell Participation
Genuine participation as a Buyer and/or Seller is considered according to actual marketplace behaviour.
CATEGORY 06
Verified Transaction Reliability
Category 6 measures how reliably a participant completes genuine MMX transactions. Transaction value alone does not determine transaction reputation.

MMX deal requirement: Rate, Grade and Quantity must match before an MMX deal is confirmed.
Counterparty acceptance: A deal initiated by either Buyer or Seller must be accepted by the counterparty.
Completion: Bilateral confirmation is sufficient for normal MMX completion. Additional transaction evidence can strengthen the transaction record.
Outside MMX: A transaction closed outside MMX can be recorded, but is not treated as an MMX-verified completed deal.
CATEGORY 07
Counterparty Reputation & Ratings
Ratings are linked to genuine completed MMX transactions. There is no generic profile-rating system.
Blind / Delayed Publication
Buyer and Seller submit their ratings independently. Ratings remain hidden until both parties submit or the rating window expires. This helps reduce retaliatory rating behaviour.
No Rating ≠ Bad Rating
A participant who does not submit a rating is not automatically penalised. Lack of a rating simply means that no rating evidence is available.

CATEGORY 08
Referral & Marketplace Contribution
Verified Referral Contribution
30 points per qualified referral → maximum 150 points
Referral points recognize genuine marketplace contribution. Points are awarded only when a referred Business completes its first qualifying MMX transaction.
| Qualified Referrals | Category 8 Points |
|---|---|
| 0 | 0 |
| 1 | 30 |
| 2 | 60 |
| 3 | 90 |
| 4 | 120 |
| 5 or more | 150 |
When does a referral become eligible?
Creating or sharing a referral link does not award MRI points. A referral remains pending until the referred Business completes its first qualifying MMX transaction. Only then does the referral become qualified and contribute to the referring Business's MRI.
What does not earn referral points?
- ✓ Creating a referral code
- ✓ Sharing a referral link
- ✓ Registration of the referred Business alone
- ✓ A pending referral
- ✓ An invalid referral
Important: Referral contribution is evidence-based
Category 8 recognizes genuine contribution to the MMX marketplace. Referral points are calculated at the Business level and are based on qualified referral evidence. A referral does not itself guarantee a transaction, payment, credit, approval or any other commercial outcome.
What MRI Does — and Does Not — Mean
MRI helps you assess
- ✓ Business evidence and credentials
- ✓ Verification history
- ✓ Marketplace participation
- ✓ Genuine MMX transaction history
- ✓ Counterparty experience
- ✓ Exchange conduct history
MRI is not
- ✗ A guarantee of future performance
- ✗ A guarantee of payment
- ✗ A substitute for your own commercial due diligence
- ✗ A generic "verified" badge
- ✗ A measure of business size or wealth
- ✗ A guarantee against commercial disputes
Verification is specific, not generic.
Businesses can request specific verification services. Verification is not automatically implied simply because a business has an MMX account.
Mobile
Contact ownership and publishing eligibility.
Business contact verification.
Documents
Verification of submitted business evidence.
Physical Site
Physical verification of eligible facilities.
MRI grows through real marketplace behaviour.
Documents are only one part of the trust picture. Actual trading behaviour matters too.
Listing
A business creates a trade opportunity.
Interest
Buyer and seller move toward a trade.
Deal
Trade terms are recorded.
Acceptance
Counterparty confirms the deal.
Completion
MMX records the completed trade.
Rating
Counterparties can rate each other.
MMX closure and outside closure are different.
Closed at MMX
An MMX-closed deal can establish the relevant counterparty and agreed trade information through the MMX process.
- ✓ Counterparty relationship
- ✓ Trade terms
- ✓ Grade
- ✓ Quantity
- ✓ Rate
- ✓ Counterparty acceptance
Closed Outside MMX
A business may record that a listing was closed outside MMX. MMX can retain that information as part of the listing history.
A deal should not become trusted merely because one party says it happened.
Deals can be initiated as closed by either the buyer or the seller. The counterparty must accept the relevant closure before it becomes an accepted MMX transaction.
Once the accepted deal enters the rating stage, both sides can build a measurable trading reputation.
MRI is designed to reward evidence, not claims.
The objective is to make it harder for unreliable participants to create an artificial reputation.
Upload ≠ Verification
Submitted evidence and independently verified evidence are treated separately.
Claim ≠ Accepted Deal
A transaction claim alone should not create an MMX-verified trading history.
Ratings Have Context
Ratings are connected to the appropriate accepted trading relationship.
MRI Evolves
MRI is designed to reflect changing evidence, verification and marketplace behaviour.
What MRI means to you

100% = 1000 MRI Points
