Flavoured Makhana Cost Calculator
Estimate the production cost, profit and selling price of a flavoured Makhana pack using your blend, container capacity and desired net weight.
How the Flavoured Makhana Cost Calculator Works
The calculator first determines the weighted Makhana price and approximate bulk density of the selected blend. The container volume is then used to estimate the maximum net weight that the blend may accommodate. You can choose a lower desired net weight for actual costing.
The cost calculation uses the exact MMX Makhana price available for the selected grade, Handpicked status and business district, or the latest exact recorded snapshot when a live price is unavailable.
Packaging capacity and bulk density are estimates. Actual fill weight can vary with product size, roasting or processing condition, moisture, packing method and container geometry. This calculator should therefore be used as a business-planning reference, not as a certified packaging specification.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Estimated Maximum Net Weight?
It is an estimated fill weight calculated from container volume and the blended bulk density of the selected Makhana blend.
Can I choose a lower net weight?
Yes. Enter your desired net weight. The costing uses your desired weight, provided it does not exceed the estimated maximum.
Which Makhana price is used?
The calculator uses an exact MMX price for the selected grade and Handpicked status, prioritising the current live MMX market price and then the latest exact recorded snapshot.
Can I calculate a custom pouch?
Yes. Select Custom Pouch and enter the pouch volume in millilitres. The calculator does not claim that nominal pouch volume is the same as certified usable fill capacity.
How is the flavoured Makhana selling price calculated?
The calculator combines the selected Makhana blend cost with processing, packaging and label costs, then adds the selected profit markup to estimate the selling price for the desired net weight.
Can I change the packaging and processing cost assumptions?
Yes. MMX reference values are pre-filled for packaging, oil, flavouring, labour, miscellaneous expenses and profit markup. You can adjust these assumptions to match your actual production costs.
Does the calculator always use the current day's Makhana price?
When an exact current MMX market price is available for the selected grade, Handpicked status and business district, the calculator uses that live price. If an exact live price is unavailable, it uses the latest exact recorded MMX price instead.
